“Something Happened to Me” was born out of a life-changing moment after I lost my father. In the middle of that heartbreak, I had an epiphany — that I wanted more out of this life, that music was where I was meant to be, and that the only way forward was to believe in myself. This song is the start of me choosing my path, my healing, and my voice.
Roots Run Deep is more than an album — it’s my story, woven into songs that reach back to the heart of who I am. Though I live in Las Vegas now, surrounded by bright lights and desert nights, I feel the constant pull of my Texas roots. This album is my way of going home — of holding onto where I come from while carving out where I’m going.
Nashville gave me the space to bring these songs to life, and recording there was an experience like no other. The city’s energy, its history, and the musicians I worked with made every lyric and every note come alive in ways I never imagined.
Each track carries a piece of my history, my faith, and my fight to stay grounded while reaching for something greater. From the dust of Texas backroads to the neon glow of Las Vegas, and into the heart of Nashville’s studios, I’ve realized that no matter where life takes me, my roots are what keep me standing tall.
“Dive Bar”
Available everywhere
is a raw reminder that even with the confidence of a rockstar, I’m still human — I can fall hard, feel deeply, and sometimes make the wrong choices when life gets heavy. This song lives in that imperfect space… where heartbreak meets hard times, and you’re just trying to find your footing again. It’s real, rooted, and unapologetically honest.
“When the River Rose” was written from a place of deep emotion and love for my Texas community. Inspired by the devastating floods in Kerr County, this song is a tribute to the strength, loss, and resilience of the people affected. My intention is to honor those stories and help bring hope through music — with proceeds supporting rebuilding efforts through rebuildkerr.org. This one is for healing, for holding on, and for rising again after the waters change everything.
