Deena Maddox’s journey into music began in Helotes, Texas, where at just 18 years old she picked up a guitar and started teaching herself how to play. What began with acoustic shows and jam band improvisations quickly grew into a lifelong passion for songwriting, performing, and sharing her voice.

From Texas, Deena took her music to Wyoming, playing shows that strengthened her confidence on stage, before heading west to California at 22. There, she surrounded herself with other musicians, creatives, and dreamers, writing and creating nonstop as her sound took shape.

Life, however, had other plans. Deena eventually moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she built a family with the love of her life and welcomed two children. For nearly a decade, music took a back seat as she pursued a career in the medical field, earning her Bachelor of Science in 2023 and preparing for medical school. But after the devastating loss of her father, Deena felt her path begin to shift. The backup plan that once seemed secure no longer filled the void.

In the summer of 2025, everything changed. A spark was reignited, and Deena poured her heart back into music—writing, composing, and recording enough songs for her upcoming EP, Roots Run Deep. With a voice full of lived experience and lyrics rooted in authenticity, she is stepping fully into the artist she was always meant to be.
