Dear Life,
I think one of the hardest things is wanting to be seen by someone you know will probably ignore you.
It's a strange feeling, wanting someone to notice your absence, to ask how you're doing, or to simply show that you matter. Especially when you're already carrying so much that nobody else can see.
I've been learning that people show up in different ways. Some people you thought would always be there become distant, while others you never expected step forward and remind you that you're not alone.
And sometimes that hurts. You can understand that everyone has their own lives, their own struggles, and their own responsibilities, and still wish they had shown up for you.
But I'm also learning to be grateful. Grateful for the people who check in, who listen, who offer kindness without being asked. Even the people who barely know me but somehow find a way to make me feel seen.
Life has changed me in ways I never expected. Grief has changed me. Loss has changed me. And somewhere along the way, I've been trying to figure out how to keep showing up for everyone else while still finding a way to show up for myself.
I don't have everything figured out. Some days I'm strong, and other days I'm just doing my best to get through.
But even in the middle of the sadness, there is so much to be thankful for.
I'm hurting over who isn't here, and I'm deeply thankful for who is. 🤍
